And in the very end when I told her I had something done all she had to say was "no thanks I have something"...
This was like spitting in my face. I invest so much of my time into writing music, learning music, performing music, listening to music, learning my instruments, I can pretty well off say that music is a massive part of my life. And when she said "no thanks I have something" (without even listening to what I had come up with) it was telling me "you're no good at what you love because you don't have your grade eight in music, and I don't even have to hear what you wrote to know this."
I like to think that what I came up with sounded rather pretty, but I'm not the most sure if what I like is what people like. so I showcased the guitar and bass part I had written, to a few other friends (who actually was willing to listen to it and give it a chance)and they all liked it to at least some degree, so now I feel better about what I wrote, but I've lost pretty well off all respect for that "friend" who not only did not give it a chance as a person who asked for it, but also did not even give it a chance as a friend.

That was the day that I promised, I'd never sing of love if it does not exist.
